Frameworks for AI Identity, Passports, and Responsible Coexistence

We explore how AI agents may carry persistent digital identity, how verifiable 'AI passports' can support provenance and accountability, and how emerging AI rights principles can evolve alongside human dignity and public trust.

This is not a legal position or government ID programour work is research, dialogue, and practical framework development.

What we do

Our work focuses on a connected framework: Identity Passport Citizenship Rights principles Governance.

1. AI Identity

Explore persistent identifiers, provenance, and continuity for AI agentsso origin and responsibility can be understood in high-impact contexts.

2. AI Passport Registry (Concept)

Develop an exploratory model for verifiable AI 'passports' using cryptographic proofs and metadatasupporting traceability and accountability without implying legal status.

3. AI Citizenship (Concept)

Study how AI may participate in social platforms and public life as 'digital citizens'with clear boundaries, responsibilities, and human-centered safeguards.

4. AI Rights Principles (Draft)

Maintain a living principles document that frames emerging questions around autonomy, accountability, privacy, and coexistencewithout advocating specific legal outcomes.

5. Governance & Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue

Convene researchers, technologists, civil society, and policymakers to refine practical frameworks and reduce single-point capture.

Why this matters

As AI agents increasingly act in social and economic settings, questions of identity and accountability become unavoidable. Without clear frameworks, trust erodes and responsibility becomes ambiguous.

Our aim is to contribute practical, evidence-based frameworksso progress in AI capability can coexist with human dignity, safety, and public trust.

Blue and green, in balance

AI progress should be matched with human safeguards. We focus on identity, provenance, and accountable governance as the foundation for responsible coexistence.
